A vibrant, steampunk inspired by pinball machines directed by we follow the journey of green balls through road full of water slides and giant noodles, ending with a thoughtful gesture to give back to our community. This pandemic has not been easy on anyone, but know that we (and our fried shrimps) are rooting for you!
This project was a whirlwind of challenges and arguably one of our most ambitious projects. Despite of work from home conditions, our team truly had the most fun the past 4 weeks!
The direction we take is to have our characters & environment to feel tangible. Almost like real-life dolls with smooth shapes and glossy surfaces, imitating realistic texture and physicality..
This direction will create an effect so the audience can feel and reach their hand, to touch these ultra-realistic scenes.
The basic of the animation seems simple at first since well, you know it's a bouncing balls. But then when we started to add more to the CG worlds things started to become more exciting and challenging.
Our animators work day and night to ensure every interaction between the balls and the object feels natural as well as the steampunk mechanical is visible throughout the videos. With the help of 2D Cel Animators, it creates a layer of fun and contrast while everything rendered with mixed 10-24 fps frame rates.
