01 — CREATIVE
A never ending story is basic concept and main essence of Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (hence NKCTHI) title sequence.
Our intention is to create true seamless storytelling. A titles sequence experience presented in an illustrative way under one seamless take into the main titles. By adding a new layer within one scene to another, we created an extention to the story as well as brand new illustrations from pre-existing illustrations and animated frame-by-frame.
02 — ART & DESIGN
We love the original illustrations from the book, so we decided to use that as a starting point and then develop extra illustration in order to fit the role of the main cast and filmmakers.
The style is pretty much established from the get-go and we developed it the same way the illustrator/author did in Procreate, then finish things up with Photoshop.
03 — MOTION
We split our teams into two. We have animators do the key poses and then Agil & Marissa our art directors together with our team of illustrators created the frame in between.
We are blessed to have a highly dedicated and patient artists. They re-draw 3x our original styleframes frame-by-frame in order to create the rough drawing and cel- animated look.
