01 — CREATIVE
For the opening titles of KC The Series, director Agil Prakoso wanted to portray all main characters' traits and personalities in a visual metaphor.
The depiction of the scene in each player's name will be described with activities and supporting visual elements related to the characteristics, experiences, and problems experienced by these characters.
02 — ART & DESIGN
The artistic direction on this project use the basic idea that we called “Paper World” inspired by papercut art.
Art Director Aurelia Devara thought of this youthful, fresh, and craft-driven that is very dynamic and act to enhance the personality of each character. The color pallete inspired by autumn season, depicting a fun teenage period without making it overgloomy or childish.
03 — MOTION
Our intention is to create a stop-motion look in CGI. In order to be able to achieve the natural look, we need to treat the animation frame-by-fame, just like we took each picture one by one in stop motion.
We dive deep into point level animation, moving our papercut arrangement, adding unpredictable on-four or-three stop frame, and later add subtle camera movement to increase the cinematic feel.
